Game context
The Pirates (58-62) visit the Marlins (60-59) at loanDepot park with Miami holding a narrow edge in the standings and a strong 36-24 home mark. Pittsburgh counters with ace Paul Skenes on the mound against Miami’s E. Pérez, while the Marlins enter on a two-game win streak. Key Pirates absences include Oneil Cruz (hand, 60-day IL) and Mitch Keller (arm, 60-day IL), plus Ryan O’Hearn (quad), limiting lineup depth and rotation depth. Recent June series results favored Miami two games to one. Home-field advantage, bullpen usage patterns, and Skenes’ ability to limit runs will shape implied probabilities for this interleague contest.
