Game context
The New York Yankees enter this August 11 matchup at Yankee Stadium with a 66-52 record and 29-26 home mark, well ahead of the Seattle Mariners’ 56-63 overall and 23-34 road splits. The Yankees lead the season series 2-1 after earlier wins. Probable starters Bryan Woo (8-8, 4.31 ERA) for Seattle and Ryan Weathers (5-7, 3.79 ERA) for New York shape the outlook, with Woo posting a 0.96 ERA across three prior starts in the Bronx while Weathers arrives after consecutive scoreless outings. Mariners injuries, including J.P. Crawford’s left wrist placement on the 10-day IL, further tilt roster depth. Trader consensus reflects these standings gaps, home-field edge, and recent pitching trends as the primary drivers.
