Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Game context
The Los Angeles Dodgers (71-48) hold a substantial edge over the Kansas City Royals (49-71) in their August series at Dodger Stadium, driven by the Dodgers' first-place NL West standing and stronger overall roster depth compared to the Royals' last-place AL Central position. Recent form favors Los Angeles after a 6-5 comeback win in the opener on August 10, while Kansas City has posted a 3-7 mark in its last 10 games amid multiple injuries including Vinnie Pasquantino (wrist) and Maikel Garcia (hand). Pitching matchups, bullpen stability, and home/away splits at Dodger Stadium further shape trader consensus around series and game outcomes, with the Dodgers' offensive firepower and recent momentum creating a clear but not insurmountable gap against a Royals club seeking to avoid further setbacks in interleague play.
