Baltimore Orioles vs. Athletics

Game context
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Brandon Young (9-3, 3.50 ERA) faces Athletics left-hander Jacob Lopez (5-4, 4.98 ERA) in the series opener at Sutter Health Park. The Orioles enter at 65-69 after taking two of three from St. Louis, with Pete Alonso pacing the lineup in home runs and RBIs while the club chases a crowded AL wild-card spot from 14.5 games back. Baltimore’s road trip continues amid multiple injuries, including recent placements for Tyler O’Neill and others on the 10-day IL. The Athletics sit at 53-81 with the AL West’s worst ERA and have dropped recent series, though they hold a narrow edge in the season head-to-head. Trader pricing reflects the matchup edge for Baltimore’s rotation and power against Oakland’s thinner staff.
