Tamara Zidansek enters the US Open qualifying final against Bianca Andreescu on strong recent form, having advanced through her first two rounds with a three-set win over Laura Samson and a straight-sets victory over Guiomar Maristany. The Slovenian, ranked No. 146, has compiled a solid 2026 record and holds a prior head-to-head edge from their 2021 clay encounter. Andreescu, the 2019 US Open champion now ranked No. 183, is seeking her first main-draw appearance since 2024 after multiple injury setbacks; she has dominated her qualifying matches but faces questions about match toughness and consistency on hard courts following a mixed summer schedule. The hard-court surface, recent match volume, and both players' need for one more win to reach the main draw shape the matchup.
