Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Angels

Game context
The Philadelphia Phillies enter this series finale at Angel Stadium with a 76-60 record, sitting second in the NL East and four games ahead in the wild-card race, while the Los Angeles Angels stand at 52-84, last in the AL West after dropping six straight. Philadelphia has already taken the first two games of the set, including extra-innings wins behind strong bullpen work and late offense from players like Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner. Zack Wheeler (10-5, 3.40 ERA) takes the mound against Yusei Kikuchi (0-4, 6.25 ERA), a matchup that underscores the Phillies’ superior rotation depth and the Angels’ ongoing struggles with run prevention and consistent offense. Multiple injuries on both rosters add uncertainty to lineups, but the Phillies’ recent form and road success position them as clear favorites in trader consensus.
