US Open ATP: Toby Samuel vs Tomas Machac

Game context
Toby Samuel, the British qualifier ranked No. 110 with a career-high of 109, enters his US Open main-draw debut on a strong run that includes multiple Challenger titles and an 8-2 stretch on hard courts, highlighted by his qualifying victories. Tomas Machac, the No. 58 Czech and former top-20 player, holds more Grand Slam experience but arrives after three consecutive losses and a 14-12 record in 2026. Their first meeting pits Samuel’s recent baseline aggression and hard-court efficiency against Machac’s established serve and backhand on outdoor hard. Trader consensus reflects the form-versus-experience tension in this Round of 128 matchup on Court 10.
