US Open ATP: Jaume Munar vs Terence Atmane

Game context
Jaume Munar enters this US Open first-round matchup against Terence Atmane after more than six weeks without a completed match, following a walkover in Montreal and absence from Cincinnati due to recurring injury issues that have limited his 2026 hard-court results to an 11-14 record overall. The Spaniard, ranked around 55, showed flashes at Wimbledon but arrives with significant rust on a surface where he has struggled for consistency. Atmane, ranked near 90 and making his US Open main-draw debut, brings strong recent form from the North American swing, including wins over Draper and Khachanov in Toronto plus Etcheverry in Cincinnati, leveraging his left-handed serve and aggressive baseline game. The hard-court conditions and Atmane’s current momentum shape trader consensus around this early-round encounter.
