Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Detroit Tigers

Game context
The Los Angeles Dodgers (81-55, first in NL West) enter the rubber game of their three-game series against the Detroit Tigers (63-72, fourth in AL Central) as clear favorites, backed by superior depth and recent pitching dominance. Blake Snell struck out 10 over five innings in Saturday’s 2-1 loss, while Tarik Skubal (acquired from Detroit) allowed one run in six innings of Friday’s victory. The Tigers, hampered by an extensive injured list including Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter, and multiple rotation arms, showed resilience with Javier Báez’s ninth-inning heroics and Kevin McGonigle’s walk-off single. Low-scoring contests have defined the series at Comerica Park, with the Dodgers’ offense struggling but holding a strong road record and NL West lead heading into Sunday’s matchup.
