Thiago Agustin Tirante661Game context
Thiago Agustin Tirante enters this US Open first-round matchup on outdoor hard courts as the clear favorite, buoyed by a career-high ranking near No. 42 and strong recent hard-court results that include a quarterfinal run in Cincinnati with victories over Novak Djokovic and Jakub Mensik. The 25-year-old Argentine has won eight of his last 10 matches overall and holds a solid 26-14 record for the 2026 season. Veteran left-hander Adrian Mannarino, ranked in the low 50s to mid-60s at age 38, arrives after a four-match losing streak on North American hard courts, including straight-set defeats in Winston-Salem and Cincinnati, with limited success away from grass surfaces. The pair has no prior head-to-head history, making Tirante’s current form and ranking edge the dominant factors shaping trader consensus.
