Jiri Lehecka666Game context
Jiri Lehecka, the 18th seed ranked No. 19, enters as the clear favorite against qualifier Toby Samuel (No. 110) in the US Open second round on outdoor hard courts. Lehecka advanced past Pablo Carreno Busta in four sets and brings stronger recent hard-court results plus deeper Grand Slam experience, including a prior US Open quarterfinal. Samuel, a 23-year-old Brit, produced a standout straight-sets upset over Tomas Machac in round one with powerful serving, but faces a significant step up in class after grinding through qualifying. The matchup lacks head-to-head history, yet Lehecka’s superior ranking, consistency, and return game position him as the consensus choice among traders, though Samuel’s momentum and big serve create some upset potential on the faster surface.
