Tsitsipas enters as the clear consensus favorite in this US Open second-round matchup on outdoor hard courts, reflecting his higher ranking at No. 53, Grand Slam pedigree, and recent statement win over 10th seed Arthur Fils that featured 50 winners after dropping the opening set. The Greek has shown signs of rebuilding form following an extended ranking slide tied to injuries, while Harris, ranked No. 139, arrives with strong momentum after three qualifying victories and a straight-sets first-round win over Jack Kennedy. The South African’s 6-foot-4 frame and serve have powered a solid 26-5 hard-court record in 2026, though this marks his first main-draw clash against Tsitsipas and represents a sizable step up in class for the former top-30 player.
