Xinyu Wang563Game context
Anna Kalinskaya enters the US Open second-round matchup as the clear favorite against Xinyu Wang on hard courts, with trader consensus reflecting her higher ranking (No. 21 vs. No. 43), stronger 2026 win rate, and 2-0 hard-court head-to-head edge. Kalinskaya’s recent form, including consistent results against top-50 opponents and a career-high ranking of No. 11, supports her positioning, while Wang’s 2024 clay-court upset remains the outlier on a surface favoring Kalinskaya’s first-serve efficiency and return game. The best-of-three format on outdoor hard in New York amplifies these edges, with no reported injuries or late roster changes altering the baseline. Pre-match implied probabilities around 60% for Kalinskaya aligned with her superior hard-court metrics and Grand Slam experience.
