Arthur Fery335Game context
Lorenzo Musetti, the 13th seed and world No. 14, enters this US Open first-round hard-court matchup as the clear favorite against unseeded Briton Arthur Fery, ranked No. 33. Musetti brings deeper Grand Slam experience, including a 2025 quarterfinal run in New York, and benefits from greater rest after his Cincinnati quarterfinal exit. Fery, British No. 1 and a rising player with a Wimbledon semifinal and first ATP final appearance in Winston-Salem, arrives after a short turnaround following that Saturday loss and limited prior hard-court volume at this level. The ranking gap, seeding advantage, and rest differential shape trader consensus around Musetti's higher implied probability, though Fery's recent momentum on American hard courts introduces some competitive uncertainty in the best-of-five format.
