Yue Yuan361Game context
Yue Yuan and Mary Stoiana meet in US Open qualifying round three on hard courts, with Stoiana (No. 122) holding a narrow ranking edge and stronger 2026 win rate (38-22) compared to Yuan’s 23-24. The 23-year-old American brings recent ITF W50 hard-court titles and solid baseline consistency, while the 27-year-old Chinese veteran, a former top-40 player, has advanced efficiently in straight-sets qualifier wins but carries mixed main-tour results. No prior head-to-head exists. Stoiana’s longer three-set Q2 match versus Katie Swan creates a modest rest disadvantage against Yuan’s quicker prior outing, though both players have demonstrated reliable hard-court hold rates entering this deciding qualifier.
