Liam Draxl and Tristan Schoolkate meet in the final round of US Open men's singles qualifying on outdoor hard courts, with the winner earning a main-draw berth. Schoolkate, ranked around 180 with a career high of 95, brings slightly stronger recent hard-court results and prior US Open main-draw appearances, including straight-sets wins through earlier qualifying rounds. Draxl, ranked near 217, upset 13th-seeded Nicolas Mejia in three sets during qualifying and has shown solid recent form on the surface despite a lower ranking. Both players arrive after physically demanding matches, with Schoolkate surviving a lengthy, error-filled contest against Seongchan Hong; the closely matched contest reflects trader consensus on narrow margins in serve and return efficiency.
