Elvina Kalieva560Game context
Elvina Kalieva faces Vendula Valdmannova in US Open WTA qualifying round three on outdoor hard courts, where the American's higher ranking and main-draw experience contrast with the Czech teenager's stronger 2026 results. Kalieva, ranked 115, advanced with three-set wins over Mladenovic and Costoulas but holds a 34-21 yearly record, while the 165th-ranked Valdmannova arrives on a 9-1 run that includes a comeback victory over Sasnovich and multiple ITF titles. With no prior head-to-head, the contest hinges on Valdmannova's recent hard-court efficiency and deciding-set resilience against Kalieva's baseline steadiness and home-soil familiarity in a first-to-main-draw opportunity.
