Diane Parry25Game context
Sorana Cirstea, the No. 16 seed ranked No. 17, holds a clear edge over world No. 31 Diane Parry in this US Open second-round hard-court matchup, driven by her superior ranking, extensive Grand Slam experience at age 36, and straight-sets dominance in the first round. Parry, who captured her first WTA title in Monterrey the prior week and reached the Cincinnati quarterfinals, brings strong recent form with nine wins in her last 10 matches, yet faces fatigue concerns after seven matches in nine days. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving surface-specific consistency and break-point conversion as key differentiators on the hard courts.
