US Open WTA: Madison Keys vs Anna Bondar

Madison Keys566Game context
Madison Keys enters this US Open second-round matchup as the clear favorite against Anna Bondar, backed by her No. 24 ranking, prior Grand Slam final appearance at the event, and 1-0 head-to-head edge that includes a straight-sets win earlier in 2026. Keys arrives with strong recent hard-court form after defeating Alina Korneeva in the opening round and posting a 33-14 season record, though her results have shown occasional lapses in closing out sets. Bondar, ranked No. 73 and strong on clay, advanced past Lucie Havlickova but faces a significant step up in class on outdoor hard courts where her win rate trails Keys'. The daytime Stadium 17 encounter favors the American’s power baseline game and experience in best-of-three sets.
