Cleveland Guardians vs. Los Angeles Angels

Game context
The Cleveland Guardians enter the matchup with the Los Angeles Angels carrying strong recent momentum, riding a multi-game win streak that has kept them within striking distance of the AL Central lead at 66-66. Their pitching staff has posted a lower team ERA than the Angels while limiting home runs effectively in recent outings. The Angels, at 52-80 and near the bottom of the AL West, have dealt with multiple injuries sidelining key contributors including Nolan Schanuel and Wade Meckler, contributing to inconsistent offense and a 4-6 mark in their last 10 games. Starting pitching matchups and bullpen depth further highlight the Guardians’ edge in road contests, though late-game volatility remains possible given both clubs’ injury lists and the Angels’ occasional power outbursts.
