US Open ATP: Dane Sweeny vs Corentin Moutet

Game context
Moutet, ranked No. 62 with a career-high of No. 30, enters as the clear favorite against No. 123 wildcard Sweeny in this US Open first-round hard-court matchup. Moutet brings extensive Grand Slam experience, including multiple third-round appearances, though his 2026 record sits at 10-19 amid recent losses in Montreal and Los Cabos. Sweeny, an Australian with limited ATP success, earned a main-draw spot via wildcard after reaching the Australian Open second round earlier this year but has struggled in recent hard-court qualifiers. Neither player shows strong recent momentum, and the hard surface at Flushing Meadows typically rewards consistent serving and baseline aggression where Moutet’s left-handed variety could prove decisive.
