Jiri Lehecka65Game context
Jiri Lehecka enters as the clear favorite against Pablo Carreno Busta in this US Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts, reflecting trader consensus around an 80% implied win probability. The 19th-ranked Czech holds a significant edge in current form and ranking, with strong hard-court results this season including a Miami final run, while the 35-year-old Spaniard sits at No. 66 and carries fitness questions after retiring from his Winston-Salem opener with a back issue. Their head-to-head stands at 1-1, but Lehecka owns the sole hard-court victory from Dubai earlier in 2026, and Carreno Busta’s limited recent success against top-20 opponents further tilts the matchup. Lehecka also defends quarterfinal points, adding motivation on a surface that aligns with his aggressive baseline game.
