Hanyi Liu366Game context
Hanyi Liu, a 25-year-old Chinese wild card ranked outside the top 800, faces seventh-seeded Kaichi Uchida in the first round of the Zhangjiagang Challenger on outdoor hard courts. Liu enters with strong recent momentum from ITF events in China, including straight-set wins over Chase Ferguson and Xing Dao Chen, while Uchida arrives on a lengthy losing streak with a 10-23 record in 2026 and multiple recent first-round defeats. The pair has no prior head-to-head history. Uchida holds the significant ranking and experience edge at world No. 270, yet his form on hard courts has deteriorated sharply this season. Home support and surface familiarity for Liu represent key variables in this opening-round matchup.
