US Open, Qualification WTA: Kristina Penickova vs Harriet Dart

Kristina Penickova703Game context
**Harriet Dart holds a clear edge in this US Open qualifying second-round matchup on hard courts, driven by a massive gap in ranking (No. 131 versus Penickova outside the top 700), professional experience, and recent form.** The 30-year-old Briton has reached the US Open main draw multiple times and advanced comfortably through her opening qualifier against Jordyn Hazelitt. Dart’s consistent hard-court results and prior Grand Slam exposure contrast with 16-year-old Penickova’s ITF/junior background, even after the American’s first-round upset of Elizabeth Mandlik. No head-to-head exists, but the age, physical maturity, and level differential shape trader consensus around Dart as the heavy favorite, with limited realistic paths for the teenager beyond potential early-set pressure or fatigue factors on the opponent.
