Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Game context
The Tampa Bay Rays hold a commanding AL East lead at 74-49 while the Toronto Blue Jays sit at 61-65, creating a wide gap in implied probabilities for their upcoming series at Tropicana Field. Rays pitching depth has stabilized with Shane McClanahan's return from the injured list, complementing an offense that powered a franchise-record 9-0 road trip earlier in August. Toronto faces roster challenges, including Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on the concussion IL and multiple starters sidelined, limiting lineup flexibility and bullpen options after recent losses. Head-to-head results this season show repeated Rays sweeps, reinforcing trader consensus around Tampa Bay's edge in rotation matchups, home advantage, and overall momentum entering the late-August games.
