New York Mets vs. Chicago White Sox

Game context
The New York Mets enter this series at Rate Field against the Chicago White Sox with a 58-71 record, fifth in the NL East, while the White Sox sit at 67-61 and lead the AL Central. Chicago’s stronger overall standing and home-field edge shape the matchup, compounded by Mets injuries that include Juan Soto on the 10-day IL with a targeted early-September return and Mark Vientos also sidelined. Luis Robert Jr. faces his former club for the first time since joining New York, adding a notable storyline to the outfield. Recent Mets form includes a series win in Arizona, while White Sox pitching depth faces tests from multiple IL placements. The three-game set offers limited rest advantages and features probable starters that could influence run totals in the late-August schedule.
