Minnesota Twins vs. San Diego Padres

Game context
The San Diego Padres enter this interleague matchup at Petco Park holding a clearer edge over the Minnesota Twins, bolstered by their home record and positioning as NL Wild Card contenders at 69-60. The Twins sit at 63-66, chasing the AL Central lead while dealing with key absences including starter Joe Ryan on the injured list with a glute strain and outfielder Austin Martin sidelined by a hamstring issue. San Diego has maintained momentum with a recent home win streak and contributions from veterans like Manny Machado against Minnesota. Both clubs face rotation challenges from multiple pitching injuries, but the Padres' depth and venue advantage shape current trader consensus reflected in the implied probabilities. Weather at Petco remains mild, with no major postponement risks noted.
