Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers

Game context
The Texas Rangers (64-65), second in the AL West and clinging to wild-card hopes, host the Los Angeles Angels (51-78) for the series finale at Globe Life Field on August 23. Texas enters with a strong home record and has taken two of the first two games, including a 2-1 extra-innings win on August 22 where Wyatt Langford delivered the decisive blow. The Rangers' rotation edge features Cal Quantrill (5-4, 3.13 ERA) against an Angels staff hampered by multiple injuries, including Yusei Kikuchi's recent activation questions. Los Angeles sits far out of contention with a 22-42 road mark and ongoing absences across the pitching staff and infield. Traders view the Rangers as clear favorites, reflecting their superior overall form, home-field advantage, and the Angels' broader struggles this season.
