Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Detroit Tigers

Game context
The Los Angeles Dodgers enter the series against the Detroit Tigers as clear favorites, buoyed by ace left-hander Tarik Skubal’s strong 2.91 ERA and elite 0.95 WHIP in his return to Comerica Park after the trade deadline acquisition from Detroit. Los Angeles (80-54) boasts a deeper lineup led by Shohei Ohtani’s power production despite a recent three-game skid in Atlanta, while the Tigers (62-71) have dropped eight of ten and face significant roster challenges with key outfielders Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter, and Parker Meadows sidelined. Detroit’s offense has posted a low .203 average in its recent slump, and its rotation depth remains thin behind Drew Anderson. These factors underpin trader consensus favoring the Dodgers in this interleague matchup.
