Game context
The Miami Marlins enter this three-game series at loanDepot park with a near-.500 record and stronger recent form than the injury-depleted Los Angeles Angels, who sit well below .500 in the AL West. Marlins pitching depth and home splits provide an edge, while Angels starters face questions around availability with multiple arms on the IL, including shoulder and forearm issues limiting rotation stability. Mike Trout's career success against Miami offers a counterpoint for Los Angeles, yet the club's overall roster health and road performance weigh on implied probabilities. Series weather in South Florida and any late scratches could influence bullpen usage and run totals as the matchup unfolds.
