Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Angels

Game context
Both teams enter the rubber match at Angel Stadium with sub-.410 records, the Royals sitting fifth in the AL Central and the Angels fifth in the AL West. Probable starters N. Cameron (4.45 ERA) for Kansas City and R. Johnson (6.71 ERA) for Los Angeles tilt the matchup toward the visitors, though the Angels benefit from home-field rest after a 1-0 win in game two. Royals third baseman Bobby Witt Jr. has posted a .343/.410/.429 line since returning from the injured list, providing offensive momentum following the 7-6 series-opening victory. Multiple roster absences, including Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino (wrist) and third baseman Maikel Garcia on the IL plus Angels outfield day-to-day issues, shape available lineups and bullpen depth for both clubs.
