Game context
The Chicago White Sox enter the series finale at Comerica Park with momentum after taking the first two games, including a 9-5 win powered by four home runs and a 4-3 victory the following day. Sitting atop the AL Central at 63-58, Chicago holds a 3.5-game lead over the Tigers, who stand at 60-62 and have dropped their last two contests. The White Sox have capitalized on strong offensive output from players like Colson Montgomery while limiting Detroit's scoring in tight situations. With the division race tightening and playoff implications mounting in the final weeks, roster health, starting pitching matchups, and late-inning bullpen performance remain key variables that could influence the outcome on Sunday afternoon.
