Chicago Cubs vs. Seattle Mariners

Game context
The Chicago Cubs (74-54) hold a clear edge over the Seattle Mariners (60-68) in this three-game interleague series at T-Mobile Park, driven by superior offensive production, stronger NL Central positioning, and a more reliable starting rotation. Recent Cubs pitching has limited damage despite a few IL placements, while the Mariners continue to struggle with run prevention and consistency in the AL West. Probable matchups, including left-hander Shota Imanaga against right-handers like Bryce Miller, tilt further toward Chicago given ERA and WHIP differentials. Mariners home splits and recent roster health provide limited counter, though T-Mobile Park factors and any late scratches could compress the gap in individual games. Trader consensus reflects the Cubs’ overall form and schedule advantage heading into late August.
