Boston Red Sox vs. Athletics

Game context
The Boston Red Sox enter this late-July series riding a franchise-record 15-game winning streak that has lifted their record to 52-49 and placed them firmly in the AL East playoff picture. Boston’s recent offensive surge, led by consistent production from Jarren Duran and others, contrasts sharply with the Athletics’ 43-59 mark and ongoing struggles in the AL West. Key injury updates include Red Sox starters Zack Kelly and Ranger Suarez on the IL alongside infielder Marcelo Mayer, while Oakland deals with absences for Nick Kurtz and Zack Gelof. The road matchup at the Athletics’ home park adds travel considerations for Boston, yet the Red Sox’s momentum and superior overall form shape trader consensus around their stronger implied probability in the series.
