Game context
The Atlanta Braves (45-23), owners of MLB’s best record and first place in the NL East, enter their series finale against the Chicago White Sox on a two-game losing streak after dropping the first two contests 6-5 in 10 innings and 2-1. Chicago (36-31) has seized first in the AL Central behind seven straight home wins and nine victories in its last 13 games, capped by Davis Martin’s six scoreless innings on June 10. Atlanta’s lineup is missing Ronald Acuña Jr. (hamstring) and other contributors, while the White Sox benefit from home-field momentum and recent series success against the league leader. Pitching matchups, bullpen availability, and any lineup adjustments for the June 11 game at Guaranteed Rate Field will shape the immediate outcome.
