Spain vs. Belgium - Second Half Result
Game context
Spain enters the 2026 World Cup quarterfinal against Belgium as the clear favorite for a second-half result win, with traders citing its superior technical quality, possession dominance, and recent match-winning momentum. Spain edged Portugal 1-0 in the round of 16 via a late Mikel Merino strike, maintaining its high-pressing, possession-oriented approach that often generates second-half opportunities. Belgium advanced comfortably past the United States 4-1 but faces a tougher stylistic matchup against Spain’s midfield control and attacking depth. Home-soil factors at SoFi Stadium and Belgium’s need to manage fatigue after a demanding schedule further support Spain’s implied edge in the second half, where game state shifts frequently reward the more technically proficient side.
