Game context

Trivandrum Royals extended a four-match winning streak by defeating Alleppey Ripples by 14 runs in their most recent T20 clash at Greenfield International Stadium, posting 194/4 powered by Govind Dev Pai’s unbeaten 82 and Abhishek P. Nair’s 57 before restricting the chase with N.P. Basil’s 4/32. Ripples fought back through Sachin Baby’s 91 and a 98-run stand with K.A. Arun but faltered in the middle overs against disciplined bowling and required run-rate pressure. Royals have shown improved middle-order momentum and death bowling in recent outings, while Ripples’ results remain mixed with heavy scoring in some wins offset by batting collapses. Both sides feature experienced Kerala domestic performers, and the venue’s conditions have generally favored balanced T20 contests with opportunities for aggressive strokeplay and variations in the powerplay and death phases.
