US Open, Qualification ATP: Keegan Smith vs Alexis Galarneau

Keegan Smith6⁴3Game context
Keegan Smith, the 28-year-old American ranked around No. 193-198 and standing 6'7", meets No. 185 Alexis Galarneau of Canada in the first round of US Open qualifying on outdoor hard courts. Both players enter with comparable recent hard-court form from Challenger events, including Smith's strong July results in Segovia and prior Bengaluru title alongside Galarneau's straight-sets win over Dino Prizmic in Quebec City just days earlier. Their close ATP rankings and lack of prior head-to-head matches point to a tightly contested opener, where serve effectiveness, return consistency on the fast New York surface, and any late adjustments to the 128-player qualifying draw could shape outcomes.
