Arthur Fery, the world No. 37 and fourth seed, enters this Winston-Salem Open quarterfinal on strong recent momentum after a career-best Wimbledon semifinal run that elevated his ranking and delivered eight wins in his last ten matches. The Brit has navigated the hard-court draw efficiently, including straight-set victories over Cruz Hewitt and Mees Rottgering. Aleksandar Kovacevic, ranked No. 89, counters with three straight wins without dropping a set, highlighted by a 6-3, 7-6(1) upset of Stefanos Tsitsipas featuring 13 aces and dominant first-serve points. Their first meeting pits Fery’s variety and two-handed backhand against Kovacevic’s one-handed backhand and power serving on outdoor hard courts ahead of the US Open, with trader pricing reflecting Fery’s edge in overall form and ranking offset by the American’s current tournament trajectory and home-crowd factor.
