Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets

Game context
The Milwaukee Brewers (81-51) enter as clear favorites against the New York Mets (60-72) due to their NL Central lead and MLB's top record, backed by strong recent form, a .284 team batting average over the last 10 games, and superior pitching depth. Key injuries hamper both clubs, including Mets standouts Juan Soto (calf) and Mark Vientos (hand) plus Brewers relievers Abner Uribe and JoJo Romero, while probable starters Dustin May and Robert Stock highlight Milwaukee's edge despite the right-hander's recent struggles. The Mets have shown late-season momentum with a 13-8 August mark and home success since the trade deadline, including a 3-2 extra-innings win in the series opener, but face a formidable road opponent with limited roster health and playoff positioning already secured for the Brewers.
