Felix Auger-Aliassime enters the 2026 US Open first round as the No. 3 seed and world No. 4 with a 32-15 record, fresh off quarterfinal appearances at the French Open and Wimbledon plus a strong hard-court run through Cincinnati that included wins over Tsitsipas and Cerundolo. Rinky Hijikata, ranked No. 85 with a 14-17 mark, arrives after a lopsided Round-of-16 loss in Winston-Salem and mixed Masters results, showing limited success against elite opposition on the surface. The matchup marks their first meeting, with Auger-Aliassime holding a substantial edge in serve dominance, hard-court experience, and rest ahead of the evening Grandstand start. Market pricing reflects this gap in ranking trajectory and recent form while leaving limited room for variance on a fast hard-court surface.
