Cincinnati Open: Daniel Altmaier vs Lorenzo Musetti
Lorenzo Musetti66
Daniel Altmaier42Game context
Lorenzo Musetti enters as the clear favorite against Daniel Altmaier in the Cincinnati Open second round on outdoor hard courts, with trader consensus reflecting his top-15 ranking and stronger overall form. Musetti holds a 10-15 ATP standing compared to Altmaier’s position around 65, and the pair’s only prior meeting on this surface ended in Musetti’s favor during 2022 Cincinnati qualifying. Both players have navigated injury recoveries this season—Musetti from a spring rectus femoris issue that sidelined him from Roland Garros, and Altmaier from a June hip problem—yet Musetti’s higher-level results and experience in Masters 1000 events underpin the market’s implied probability edge. Schedule position and hard-court adaptation further support expectations of a competitive but lopsided encounter.
