Oksana Selekhmeteva43Game context
Oksana Selekhmeteva, the ninth seed ranked around No. 93, enters this WTA 125 second-round hard-court match in Philadelphia as the clear favorite against lucky-loser Capucine Jauffret, ranked No. 847. Selekhmeteva advanced with a three-set win over Taylah Preston and holds a substantial edge in WTA main-draw experience, recent hard-court results, and overall ranking trajectory after climbing from outside the top 200. Jauffret, an 18-year-old American, reached the main draw via qualifying but remains winless in prior WTA-level events this season and has compiled a 10-14 record in 2026, mostly at ITF level. The players have no prior head-to-head meetings. Surface-specific form and break-point conversion trends favor the higher-ranked player, though Jauffret’s youth and home-event status could produce competitive sets if Selekhmeteva’s first-serve percentage dips.
