UFC Fight Night: Ding Meng vs. Cameron Nelson (Welterweight, Prelims)

Game context
Ding Meng enters this Shanghai welterweight prelim with a 35-10 record built on 28 knockouts and extensive regional experience, though his May 2026 UFC debut ended in a split-decision loss. Cameron Nelson, making his Octagon debut at 7-1, arrives on a five-fight winning streak capped by a second-round TKO to claim the Fight League Atlantic title in June. At 6'2" with a 73-inch reach, Meng holds a significant size and power edge on home soil, where crowd support and familiarity could influence pacing. Nelson, a 28-year-old Canadian with strong submission and striking finishes, benefits from fresher momentum but faces a steep step up in competition and travel demands. No confirmed injuries or late changes have emerged for the August 29 card.
