Game context

The Philadelphia Phillies enter the second game of their interleague series at T-Mobile Park after their nine-game winning streak ended in Monday’s 9-2 loss to the Mariners, during which Cal Raleigh hit three home runs. Philadelphia (73-59) remains in strong position for the NL wild card and NL East, backed by a .305 team batting average and 3.50 ERA over its last 10 games. Seattle (63-69) sits three games out of the AL West lead and final wild card in a tight race, with a 36-30 home mark. Aaron Nola (5-9, 5.12 ERA) takes the mound against George Kirby (8-10, 4.18 ERA), while both clubs manage multiple injured-list absences, including day-to-day issues for Phillies outfielder Derek Hill and Mariners infielder Brendan Donovan. Recent offensive surges and home-field dynamics shape the closely contested matchup.
