Golden Knights vs. Kings

Game context
Vegas Golden Knights enter the September 19 preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Kings as Pacific Division leaders from the prior 39-26-17 campaign, while the Kings finished 35-27-20 and secured a playoff berth. Both clubs focused on roster depth during the offseason, with Vegas extending defenseman Rasmus Andersson and Los Angeles adding veterans including Mats Zuccarello, Corey Perry, Erik Haula, and Scott Laughton to bolster forward and blue-line groups ahead of Anze Kopitar’s jersey retirement festivities. Lingering injury considerations for Vegas players such as William Karlsson and Alex Pietrangelo, combined with training-camp evaluations, shape early assessments of lineup stability and goaltending rotation for the intra-division contest.
