Game context
The Yankees host the Cardinals at Yankee Stadium with a clear edge in starting pitching, as Cam Schlittler (10-6, 2.04 ERA) faces Michael McGreevy (4-9, 3.57 ERA). New York sits at 63-49 and second in the AL East despite major absences, including Aaron Judge (rib), Cody Bellinger (hamstring), Giancarlo Stanton (calf), and multiple starters on the IL. St. Louis enters at 55-57 after inconsistent recent results and carries its own injury concerns in the bullpen and infield. Home-field factors, the Yankees’ depth in the lineup, and Schlittler’s command stand out as the main elements shaping trader views on game outcome.
