St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds

Game context
The St. Louis Cardinals sit at 65-62 and hold a clearer path in the NL Central race than the 60-66 Cincinnati Reds, bolstered by stronger recent offensive output and a pitching staff that has limited opponents more effectively in the current series at Great American Ball Park. Cincinnati has dealt with multiple absences on the mound, including Hunter Greene and Graham Ashcraft on the 60-day injured list plus Spencer Steer’s wrist issue, contributing to a stretch of low run production and shutout losses. The Cardinals have capitalized on recent momentum with multi-run innings and solid starting outings, though both clubs face typical late-August variables around bullpen usage and travel. Trader consensus reflects these roster and form differentials in the implied probabilities for individual game or series outcomes.
