New York Yankees vs. Chicago White Sox

Game context
The New York Yankees (57-45) enter a four-game road series against the Chicago White Sox (54-47) at Guaranteed Rate Field starting July 27, with both clubs coming off strong recent form and jockeying for playoff positioning. The Yankees hold a significant run differential advantage but face pitching depth challenges, including Carlos Rodón’s placement on the injured list with elbow inflammation and ongoing monitoring of Max Fried and Giancarlo Stanton. The White Sox lead the AL Central with a strong 31-17 home record and have posted winning streaks fueled by balanced offense and bullpen stability. Historical head-to-head results favor New York, yet the series occurs during a stretch where Chicago has shown improved home performance against AL East opponents. Weather in Chicago remains a secondary factor for the outdoor games.
