Game context
Both clubs enter the three-game interleague series at Oracle Park with sub-.500 records, the Angels at 38-61 and the Giants at 42-56, leaving little margin for error in the second half. The Giants hold home-field advantage and a modest edge in recent form, though key roster questions remain with Matt Chapman recovering from an abdominal strain and Victor Bericoto sidelined by an oblique issue. The Angels continue to battle inconsistent offense and pitching depth on the road. Pitching matchups, bullpen reliability, and Oracle Park's pitcher-friendly dimensions will likely shape outcomes, as will any late roster adjustments or weather factors in late July.
